Nicola Mosley, RSW

As a registered social worker with a Masters in Social Work, Nicola serves women at threshold places, those navigating chronic illness, experiences that have disrupted daily life, or those who are moving through a life-altering change that asks them to live differently. These experiences might contribute to anxiety, navigating PTSD, questioning belonging, navigating addiction and recovery, or feelings of being alone and isolated.

She invites folks to explore the impacts of systems on their body and remain curious about deeper questions, sensing the wisdom of their nervous system. Nicola works with women who feel a connection with the land, and who sense that personal healing is entangled with collective healing. People she serves are not looking for a quick fix but are seeking transformation into greater presence that honors their embodied wisdom and authenticity.

As a faculty member with the Center for Trauma and Embodiment training professionals in Trauma Center-Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Nicola integrates a trauma informed lens into mindful movement practices, as well as with her skill set as a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner into virtual sessions. Throughout the journey of healing, she supports clients attune to their nervous system to foster presence. Her approach is oriented toward personal restoration and embodied resistance to patterns of modernity.

Having navigated waves of chronic illness throughout her lifetime, Nicola is familiar with thresholds that ask us to listen in new ways. She also lives a robust and generous life having worked as a wilderness guide with a great love for self-propelled travel over the land. Her relationship with the land has been a place of adventure and an experience with the land as a caregiver in times of chronic illness. She believes in the power of ritual and ceremony, movement as medicine, and the value of beauty and play.

Nicola offers space for healing that honors depth and the pace of healing. Through virtual sessions or walk-and-talk, she provides a container to listen to one’s nervous system and the wisdom of the body, allowing transformation to unfold in its own time in connection to a larger story.

She would welcome a 15-minute meet and greet discovery call to see if you feel resonance.
